Alice, was honoured at the B.C. Golf House Museum on June 8th with
British Columbia Golf's Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented by Helen Steeves, in the absence of President Patrick Kelly.

Alice in her reply made light of the fact that all of her 34 years of volunteering was likely why she could never get her handicap below 22.

Since her presentation was held in conjunction with the opening of a new exhibit at the Museum called "125 years of Women in Golf", Alice was asked to cut the ribbon opening the exhibit before she cut her cake.

The wine & cheese reception & the cake provided by B.C. Golf was enjoyed by all. This all set the scene for a very enjoyable time for everyone in attendance.

Our own Karen Vanzella was honoured at the B.C. Golf Annual General Meeting being presented with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award. She was introduced by long time friend, Helen Steeves who highlighted Karen's many contributions to Zone 4, B.C. Golf and Golf Canada. Karen responded using a kaleidoscope of colour to show her growth in Volunteering. She thanked many people in her journey, especially her family who were there to see her being honoured. Karen's recognition was truly much deserved.
